HSEQ///01
Health, Safety and Environment Management System

Overview

Supanova Energy Services Limited (SESL) has an established Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Management System developed in line with international safety standards and codes.

Our HSE manual, which contains the requisite policy statements, is the principal guide for integrating HSE requirements into all our operations. It covers the critical aspects of our work and is sufficiently flexible to meet the requirements of each client’s HSE policy. The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer has overall responsibility for HSE matters within the Group.

The Group sets realistic and achievable annual HSE targets supported by quantifiable performance indicators. Performance is evaluated and analysed annually using HSE statistics and records reported daily, weekly and monthly. HSE audits and behaviour-based safety programmes are in place to manage performance both proactively and reactively.

At SESL, HSE receives special attention and the highest priority. All HSE personnel have the organisational freedom to carry out their duties fully and without fear of intimidation. Personnel safety and health, environmental care and loss prevention are integral to our business and are reflected in every aspect of our services, from inception to completion.

During project execution and service delivery, team leaders provide safety advice within their respective projects and services to ensure a consistent approach to safety and the environment. They review all documents for compliance with contractual HSE specifications and requirements, ensuring that safety provisions are optimised at all times. Applicable safety legislation and client requirements are incorporated into HSE design and implementation.

All personnel are properly inducted and trained to understand SESL, client and statutory HSE requirements while performing their duties. Periodic audits and personnel observations provide feedback for the continuous assessment of HSE performance. All identified deficiencies or inadequacies are addressed promptly and proactively.

SESL reinforces employee participation in HSE. An HSE awards and incentives programme recognises employees who make satisfactory contributions to HSE performance during the month.
